Вспомогательные и модальные глаголы
- don’t = do not, doesn’t = does not; didn’t = did not; won’t = will not; ’ll = will, shall
- can’t = cannot, couldn’t = could not; mustn’t = must not, oughtn’t = ought not
- ’m = am, ’re = are, ’s = is; aren’t = are not, isn’t = is not
- wasn’t = was not, weren’t = were not
- ’ve = have, ’s = has; haven’t = have not, hasn’t = has not; ’d = had, hadn’t = had not
- ’d = would; wouldn’t = would not; shouldn’t = should not
Пусть вас не смущает то, что ’d - это и would, и had, а ’s - и has, и is. В реальной ситуации их спутать невозможно, главное - знать грамматику. Например, после would может идти только простая форма глагола, а после had - только причастие. С 's не так однозначно, и всё же если вы понимаете, о чём идёт речь, то вы не спутаете has и is.
Неграмотная речь. Вот, кстати, ещё одна из причин, по которым я скептически отношусь к песням как к учебному материалу. Нигде вы не встретите столько из нижеприведенных сокращений, как в песнях. Многие из них, переведенные на русский дословно, звучали бы вообще как на Привозе, например helluva ≈ до хера (ой…)
